Meet Our Staff
Geoff Benjamin - CEO Geoff has a BA in Communications Studies from Northwestern University and an MBA from the University of San Francisco. He has a passionate love of children and the arts. He has run a childrens theatre program, founded an arts magazine and run a childrens charity. He is thrilled to be a part of TIBP, having joined at the end of 2003. Jaren Bonillo - Program Director Jaren Bonillo is an interdisciplinary artist who has exhibited in group shows at Artists Television Access (ATA); Headlands Center for the Arts; Memorial Union Art Gallery, University of California, Davis; The Garage Biennale; and the University of Cincinnati’s Reed Galley, among others. She has worked throughout the Bay Area as an arts educator with organizations including Southern Exposure, the San Francisco Art Institute, Glide, and in the Oakland Unified School District. Prior to The Imagine Bus Project, Bonillo worked at Southern Exposure as the Artists in Education Program Manager where she managed five distinct Artists in Education programs annually in collaboration with the gallery exhibitions program, local schools, and in partnership with community-based youth organizations. She is committed to providing exemplary arts education programs to youth and is dedicated to supporting teaching artists to extend their practice into the community. She received an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA from Rutgers University. Her current projects include a Plant Rescue and obsessively documenting stencils on the sidewalks of San Francisco. Jane Lang - Director of the Imagine Bus Project North Jane has a Master's degree in Psychology, and specialized in Art Therapy. She began her artistic career designing, crocheting and sewing clothing embellished with the Seminole Indian method of patchwork. Jane has worked with women and children at shelters, at the Sonoma County Juvenile Hall, and with youth at an after-school youth program. Jane is still an active artist, specializing in collage. |
